Intercom & Paging Systems

Clear Communication Across Your Entire Facility

Get a Quote

Building communication systems do two things: they handle routine daily communication across a facility, and they handle emergencies when every second counts. Diego Tech designs and installs intercom and paging systems that do both well, with door stations, building-wide paging, zone control and integration with your phone and security infrastructure, all engineered for your specific facility layout.

We hold an Arizona ROC contractor license and install systems for schools, healthcare facilities, manufacturing environments, office buildings and commercial properties throughout Arizona.

What We Design and Install

Building-Wide Paging Systems

Overhead paging that reaches every area of your facility. We design speaker coverage for your floor plan, accounting for acoustically challenging spaces like gymnasiums, warehouses, cafeterias and outdoor areas where standard speaker coverage falls short. Paging systems can be configured with zone control so specific announcements reach only the areas that need to hear them.

Door Intercom Stations

Entry intercom stations at doors, gates and lobby access points allow staff to screen visitors before granting entry. Two-way audio and video intercom options allow your staff to see who is at the door from any station in the building. Door stations can be integrated with access control to release door locks remotely after verification.

VoIP and Phone System Integration

Modern paging systems can be integrated with VoIP phone platforms so your staff can initiate announcements from any phone extension in the building. This eliminates the need for a separate paging console and makes the system accessible to anyone in your organization. See our VoIP Phone Systems page for more on our communications infrastructure services.

Emergency Paging and Alert Systems

Emergency paging requires a separate level of reliability. We design emergency alert capabilities that activate independently of your routine paging system so a building-wide emergency announcement reaches everyone even if the normal system is already in use. In schools and institutions, this integrates with lockdown activation.

Who Uses Building Intercom and Paging Systems?

Intercom and paging infrastructure is found across a wide range of facility types. The communication requirements differ by environment, and the system design has to reflect that.

  • Schools and Educational Institutions: Daily announcements, class change bells, visitor intercom at entry points and emergency lockdown paging. Schools represent the most demanding paging environment because they require reliable coverage across diverse spaces including classrooms, gyms, cafeterias and outdoor common areas
  • Healthcare Facilities: Staff communication, patient call systems, secure door intercom for controlled-access areas and code announcement paging in clinical environments
  • Manufacturing and Industrial Facilities: High-noise environments require speakers rated for the ambient noise level. Paging systems in these settings are often safety-critical as well as operational
  • Office Buildings and Corporate Campuses: Visitor management at building entries, parking structure intercom and building-wide communication capability for announcements and emergencies
  • Government and Institutional Buildings: Secure entry intercom, visitor screening, controlled access and emergency broadcast capability

Paging System Design and Engineering

A paging system that doesn't reach certain rooms, sounds unintelligible in high-noise areas or fails to trigger during an emergency is worse than no system at all. Diego Tech approaches paging installations as engineering projects. We assess the acoustic characteristics of your facility, calculate coverage requirements for each zone, specify speakers and amplification accordingly, and verify your coverage during commissioning.

For facilities with existing paging infrastructure, we assess whether your current system meets your coverage needs and reliability requirements and recommend upgrades where warranted. Many facilities have paging systems that were installed decades ago and no longer match the current floor plan or facility usage.

Paging Systems Are Part of Emergency Lockdown

In schools and institutional facilities, the paging system is a core component of the active shooter lockdown response. When a lockdown activates, the paging system broadcasts immediately to every zone. We design and install lockdown systems with paging integration built in from the start. See our Active Shooter Lockdown Systems page for the full scope of what that integration looks like. contact us
